Qualifications
:
Graduate: B.E./ B.Tech. ( In Electrical / Computer / Information Technology / Electronics / Communications ) with First Class from reputed institute / university; and
Master Degree: MBA with First Class from reputed institute / university;
Or on deputation from Central PSU

                                                                                                 Designation: General Manager ( Projects)

    A) Desired Profile

    • Minimum 13 years of experience in managing Mega Telecom/ IT projects or Telecom Services (ITS) officers with 13 years of experience 

    • Should have expertise in:

    • Designing, implementing Mega telecom projects covering laying of Optic fibre across the geographies (State wide or Country wide telecom infrastructure projects).

    • Should be well versed with working on Active Passive components of Telecom networks like Router and switches, GPON, DWDM, SDH, GEPON, Active Passive Devices, NMS etc.

    • Good knowledge of day to day working culture of telecom sector w.r.t. to managing, leasing and provisioning of optic networks.

    • Should have leadership and managerial skills, Good knowledge of industry- specific terminology, rules and regulations.


    B) Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor/B.Tech in Electronics /Electrical /Computer/ Information Technology /Communications with first class from reputed institute /university and MBA with first class from reputed institute/ university; or on deputation from Central PSU. Candidates with online degree will also be permitted. 


    C) Key Roles and Responsibilities.

    • Develop project monitoring, review and evaluation plan and vetting of project performance statistics.

    • Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.

    • Establishing plans, budgets and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress

    • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing Organisation standards.

    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    • Assist/support organization in various policy level decisions related to the ICT infrastructures.

    • Recommend novel approaches to solving network and infrastructure problems.

    • End to end project governance with accurate planning /forecasting with management of project rollout timelines.

    • Support in monitoring/ help establish suitable network /IT infrastructure monitoring system at the state level.

    • Analyse KPI reports to identify areas of improvement or pre-empt areas of deterioration. Recommend any changes that may be needed.

    • Team Handling, Proper Coordination with Stake Holders/ Management for smooth functioning of project.

    • Augment current O & M processes and platform to accommodate increasing size and complexity of network.

    • Strategically bifurcate work streams between those that should be outsourced vs insourced, while factoring in changes that are likely to be experienced.


    D) Soft Skills:

    • Motivate personnel to meet company goals.

    • Excellent listening and presentation skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Should be able to identify and resolve problems, work well independently or as part of a team and also work well under pressure.


    E) Age Limit: Not more than 50 years.


    F) Remuneration: INR 165,000/- P.M. (Cost to Company basis) or for ITS officers on deputation, pay protection benefits will be provided.
