Scope of Project

GFGNL intends to create OFC infra highway by laying Optical Fibre Cable connecting all Block with Gram Panchayat, including supply of OLT, ONT, Switch and Rack Mounted splitters to enable the intended services such as internet, we are not giving telephone port in ONT, e-services and other value added services.

The Gram Panchayats (GPs) to be connected under BharatNet Phase-II has been divided into two packages, each containing a group of GPs for convenience of implementation. GFGNL has selected Project Implementing Agency (PIA) for implementing the entire project on Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis and Third Party Auditor (TPA) for validating the entire execution done by PIA.

The Implementation of the project is by GFGNL through a PIA who would be responsible for “Survey, Planning, Supply, Installation, end to end integration, testing and commissioning of OFC (Underground and Aerial) GPON Network, transport network and also, to undertake the responsibility for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and facilitating service provisioning and of the created network for 7 years from the date of Go Live.

In execution phase, TPA agency shall inspect, verify, certify and monitor the timely execution of the entire network including OFC laying, Equipment installation & integration with state NOC as per the TEC GRs and Engineering Instructions with respect to material inspection, service level management and Inspection of OFC routes during digging, trenching, ducting, reinstatement, OFC blowing, splicing & testing.

The Memorandom of Understanding (MoU) among the four parties namely, USOF, Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, BBNL, The Government of Gujarat and the SIA Gujarat Fibre Grid Network Limited, has been signed on 27-12-2017.

Agencies selected for Project Implementation and auditing:

1. ITI limited as PIA for Package A 2. GTPL Hathway Limited as PIA for Package B 3. TCIL as TPA for both the packages.

Salient points about implementation methodology

100 Mbps (with concurrency of 1/8) will be provisioned at each GP and TC/DC location
Provisioning of minimum 12 fibre in each Gram Panchayat.
Optical Network Terminal (ONT) will be installed at each GP along with L2 switch.
12 fibres to be terminated at FDMS/FTB each at TC and DC center of GSWAN project in the respective geography along with ONT installation treating TC and DC each as a GP.
Bringing the 48 core fibre from the nearest OLT of the region towards Gandhinagar, to the NOC center at Gandhinagar, connecting and with termination at TC & DC.
